## Why the move?

I no longer trust GitHub to be a good long-term steward of my repositories:

- **Leadership changes** away from the developer-first ethos.
- **Microsoft's incompetence** running the platform.
- **AI scraping and training** on hosted code with no meaningful opt-out.

Self-hosting on Gitea gives me ownership of my work.
